WWW.CULTOFMAC.COM — Microsoft released Office 2019 Preview today, with the full release expected later this year. This early version is only for Windows, though a macOS edition will be out "in the coming months," according to the company. Office 2019 offers improvements to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. "Updates include new and improved inking features across the apps, like the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects; more powerful data analysis in Excel, like new formulas, new charts, and Power BI integration; and sophisticated presentation features in PowerPoint, like Morph and Zoom," wrote Jared Spataro, General Manager for Office, in an official blog post.

| | Microsoft 365 bundle gets a slew of updates as part of Windows 10 April rollout

But it's only now -- after the company's most recent reorg and with the rollout of the Windows 10 April 2018 Update that it's becoming an integrated product in its own right. That's according to Corporate Vice President Brad Anderson, who after last month's major Windows reorg, is now handling Microsoft 365 deployment all-up, as well as taking the lead on Windows 10 in the enterprise.
